THE BRIEF

Unlike many businesses in the wedding industry, Artisan Blooms had never had a dedicated website or established brand identity. Laura Lee had built her business almost entirely through referrals and word of mouth, creating a strong reputation throughout Charleston based on the quality of her work and client experience alone.

When Laura Lee reached out, the goal wasn’t simply to create a logo or launch a website. She wanted a brand that reflected the artistry behind her floral designs and established a stronger presence within Charleston’s wedding market. Together, we set out to create an identity that felt creative, expressive, and handcrafted while giving potential clients a place to discover her work beyond referrals.

From our earliest conversations, Laura Lee wanted the brand to feel like an extension of her creative process rather than simply a logo attached to a floral business. Because artistry is at the center of everything she creates, we focused on building an identity that showcased not only her florals but also the hands, creativity, and craftsmanship behind them.

The logo suite was designed to showcase multiple layers of her work. A refined serif provided structure and elegance, while handwritten typography introduced a more personal and handcrafted quality. The Floral Atelier signature, custom illustrations, and monogram all work together to communicate the same care and artistry that goes into each arrangement. Supporting phrases such as “Rooted in Romance,” “Drenched in Detail,” and “Deeply Personal” further reinforce the experience and values behind the brand.

One of the most important elements of the brand became the use of artistic textures and backgrounds. Inspired by Laura Lee’s creative process, we incorporated watercolor washes, painterly brushstrokes, sketch-like elements, and layered textures throughout the brand system. These details create the feeling of an artist’s workspace and reinforce the idea that every arrangement begins as a creative vision before becoming a finished floral design.

The monogram further brings these ideas together by combining structured serif typography, expressive script lettering, and botanical illustration into a single mark. Together, the identity balances refinement and creativity, allowing the brand to feel both professional and deeply personal while showcasing the artistry that makes Artisan Blooms unique.

THE OUTCOME

Artisan Blooms now has a cohesive brand presence that reflects the quality, creativity, and artistry behind the studio. What was once a referral-driven business now has a recognizable visual identity and dedicated website designed to support future growth while remaining true to Laura Lee’s personal approach. The result is a brand that not only showcases beautiful florals but also tells the story of the hands, heart, and craftsmanship behind every arrangement.
